Dealing With Facial Hair

Facial hair is one thing you cannot ignore. They appear at all the wrong places, hiding your beautiful face and giving you a manly look.

Most women are able to hide their facial hair by bleaching them to match their skin tone. But if you are reading this article, your problem obviously does not get solved by a lightening agent. Rather, if one has too much facial hair, they gleam even more, with a golden shine when you bleach … shouting out I am trying to hide my facial hair!

Another reason for some women to not prefer bleach is that it does not suit all skin types. Women with sensitive facial skin might get burns, irritation or boils after bleaching.

Threading or Tweezing: One way to remove facial hair from roots is to pluck them by threading or tweezing. This is usually done on the upper lip area. However, this causes hair to grow back thicker and stiffer and may make your face look uglier if you are not regular with this exercise.

Waxing: This method also removes hair from its roots, but in a less painful way. However, face is too delicate to be exposed to waxing very often. Also, for the first few years, the hair growth after waxing actually thickens. Only after a few years, the growth might begin thinning. Nevertheless, it is not a very popular way of facial hair removal.

Depilatories : These are creams that dissolve the hair near the surface of the skin when applied. This is an easy and cheap way of removing facial hair. However, the cream contains strong chemicals and may react on sensitive skin types.

Laser treatment: For permanent facial hair removal, electrolysis or laser treatments is the best way. These treatments are expensive, but offer a once-and-for-all-solution to the problem. However, it is only recommended if the problem is acute and no other hair removal method is suiting you.

The choice of a facial hair removal method ultimately depends on your skin type and your comfort level. It is recommended to consult your physician before going for a treatment.
