Congress Ka Haath...

For years, Congress has said "Congress ka haath, aam aadmi ke saath" and we have only partially believed it.

But yesterday, aCongress MP proved this statement to be completely true, but in a negative way. You've got be to be scared of the Congress ka haath now....

Here's what happened:

A Congress MP was caught on camera, slapping a rural bank manager in Andhra Pradesh. M Jagannath, the Congress MP from Nagarkurnool, said he was "sorry" for the incident in Mahabubnagar district on Monday but denied having slapped the manager. The slapping and lots of verbal thrashing were a result of the MP demanding action from the Bank Manager in some SC/ST case. While we may laud his concern for the backward classes, is this how you treat people?

The MP claimed his hand only touched the cheek of Ravinder Reddy, a manager of a AP Grameen Vikas bank branch, when he tried to put it round his shoulder. Employees of the grameen banks in the Congress-ruled state were up in arms and staged protests in several districts and stopped disbursal of loans under government schemes. The bank branch where the incident happened has threatened to go on strike from tomorrow.

Police booked a case against the MP on charges of assault and use of criminal force to deter a public servant from discharge of his duty and said investigation was on.

This is not the first time a politician has slapped someone publicly in India. Only a few weeks back, a Union Minister was caught on camera hitting a journalist. What do these politicians think they are doing? Are they not mere public servants, elected by us to serve the public? How can they go around slapping or abusing people who do not do as expected? I am truly apalled by the way our politicians behave. It's like they have no fear or even a conscience. They are so drunk in their own power that they stop seeing everybody else!
