Although, ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’ has won 4 national awards, supporting actor Arshad Warsi is not too happy with the results - the reason being a certain faux pas that left the actor red-faced after the announcement of the awards.
Sources informed Spicezee, that just before the announcement of the national awards, word spread that Arshad Warsi aka Circuit has received the coveted national award in the ‘Best Supporting Role’ category for ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’. The actor was flooded with congratulatory calls.
Circuit was basking in his newfound glory when a short-circuit fused his excitement. It was revealed that the award was given away to Dilip Prabhavalkar, who played Gandhiji in the film. The anti-climax left the actor deeply embarrassed. Never mind, Circuit, there is always a next time!
