Yes, you guessed right! We did watch this movie last weekend. we'd been waiting for this movie ever since we'd seen the trailers. And we were not disappointed. The movie is about this NRI couple who visit India and live in a palace that the guy has inherited. The palace is said to be haunted but the husband-wife duo do not credit the palace with this distinction. The young wife, played by vidya Balan opens the door that is said to have locked in the resident bhoot and evil. And then the fun begins. At times you feel like there really is a bhoot. But the husband, played by Shiney Ahuja disregards all bhootiya claims and invites Akshay Kumar, a friend, who is a famous psychologist in the USA to help a family member. Akshay finally solves the riddle of the bhoot.
My favourite scene in the movie is the one that I found rather scary. This is the scene where the resident bhoot is heard speaking for the first time in the movie. Yesssssssssss I just loved the thrill and scare of it. Akshay is great as usual. Vidya stands out for an exemplary performance. What is it with akshay guys? Wotever role he plays, wotever character he dons, wotever clothes he wears.....it all boils down to one word: Excellent! He can play the romantic charmer with as much ease as he plays the rough desi jatt! He's just fab and it's no wonder that he was the highest tax payer in India this year. He's the busiest guy in Bollywood, people!
So I'd give this move a rating of 5, and yes, that's also coz my fav akki stars in it. the movie is a must watch. It's so diff from the run of the mill movies we r being exposed to these days. It's diff, it's fresh and it's exciting. So u must go and give it a dekko...
