The much talked about producer-director, Mahesh Bhatt has shifted his inspiration for movies from foreign flicks to real Indian incidents! The latest example being his movie Jannat, that was inspired by the death of former Pakistan cricket coach, Bob Woolmer.
The movie is yet to move the public and get some good box office returns, the way Bhatt had expected it to, and he has already decided to make another one. This one too, inspired by a real life incident!
This time the Bhatt camp is eyeing the story behind the horrific murder of Neeraj Grover that took place recently in Mumbai.
The incident happened, when TV executive, Neeraj Grover of Synergy Adlabs was murdered brutally by small time South Indian actress <>i>Maria Susairaj and her boyfriend, Naval officer, Lt. M L Jerome Mathew.
Mahesh apparently found the developments on this incident very interesting and has decided to make it into a commercial Hindi movie. "We are working on the script. The story will be told through the eyes of police officer Rakesh Maria, who cracked the real-life case." Bhatt said.
The movie will be written by Shagufta Rafique and directed by Mohit Suri.
Although, the Bhatt camp claims that the movie will only try to explore the reasons behind the brutal murder, and not sensationalise the issue, Neeraj’s father Amarnath Grover looks concerned. He has said that he has no objection to Bhatt making the film, but if they try to tarnish Neeraj’s image, he will certainly move to the courts. He added that the film should not be a commercial masala one, but should stick to the truth.
Now, how does Mahesh Bhatt plan to make a movie with Emraan Hashmi in it, but with no sexy numbers, skin shows and lip-locking, is something that seriously concerns me!
