Last week Suhaana went to a designer boutique in Delhi to buy something to wear at her sister’s engagement party. As usual, looking through racks of clothes and trying on a few, only added to her irritation with herself. She was having a hard time controlling her anger, frustration and depression. Tia (who works at the boutique as a Sales Assistant), asked Suhaana if she needed any help. Embarrassed to the core, Suhaana muttered a quick “No”! But Tia decided to help out Suhaana anyway and tactfully suggested a few items that she thought would suit Suhaana.

Pink screams Female and Blue Screams males… why?

Without even thinking twice, we invariably assign the colour 'pink' to girls and 'blue' to boys. Remember the 'Pink Room' and the 'Blue Room' in the reality drama Bigg Boss? But have you ever given it the slightest thought as to why be this trend the way it is and why has it never been altered or even questioned? The first explanation that comes to our mind is that pink being a soft colour represents the tender sex and blue being a bold colour represents the other half of the population!
