Inspiring, Interesting And True

I heard this story on the radio this morning. The jockey said that its a true story, so perhaps it is.

Once, many decades back, a middle aged couple visited the Harvard University and requested to meet the President. They were dressed in gingham and came across as simple village folks. The President was in no mood to see them, so he had his secretary tell them hat he was too busy. They decided to wait till the President could spare a few moments. The couple waited all day. In the evening, the secretary urged her boss to see the couple.

Life has never been easy for women. The society expects you to follow its unwritten rules dictating love, marriage and reproduction. 1. Everyone has to get married. 2. You’ve got to marry within your community. 3. You must produce a crop of healthy kids within 2-3 years of marriage. You have to spend your life with your husband no matter how uninteresting, loveless, torturous or unhappy it may be.

The glamworld is suffering from a strange epidemic these days: trend reversal!

The big screen stars are suffering with the small screen fever and the disease seems to be highly communicable. It spreads by making any kind of competitive contact with the infected. The infected person deliberately tries with all his might to reverse the trend set for the glamour world over the years: ‘to progress from the small screen to the big screen in pursue of greater stardom’!
