The ‘Baghbaan’ is ready to fall in love, all over again. Shoojit Sircar has decided to make another ‘mature-love-story’ movie with the senior Bachchan as his leading man. Nobody does it better than Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. So it’s little wonder that he has been roped in to play the lead role. But who will be the damsel to steal his heart in this movie?

A little birdie tells us that Madam Tabu was initially offered the role (considering the ‘Cheeni Kum’ chai the two made some time back). But Tabu isn’t interested at all in repeating the ‘unsweetened’ performance with Mr. Bachchan. While many top heroines have been considered, Shefali Shah and Sareeka are the two top contenders for the big part.

If you are wondering exactly how big a part this will be, here’s an answer. The couple is supposed to fall in love and discover togetherness at the age of 50 plus. So the role of the leading lady will be quite a full fledged one. We hear that the movie is inspired from a Hollywood movie story. But the producers (UTV) of this movie have decided to get the copyright for the story. Ain’t that great? It’s certainly better than stealing stories, songs, music etc from all over the world! Interestingly, the script is being written by none other than Renzel D’Silva (of Rang De Basanti fame).

Dia Mirza is also expected to play a major role in this movie. It is interesting to see how film-makers are finally taking an interest in ‘life after 50’. UTV is simultaneously working on two such movies. Besides the Bachchan starrer, another of its ‘50 plus’ romance movies will showcase Mithun Da and Dimple Kapadia. So all you ‘not-so-young’ people, just keep waiting to be floored!
