The glamworld is suffering from a strange epidemic these days: trend reversal!

The big screen stars are suffering with the small screen fever and the disease seems to be highly communicable. It spreads by making any kind of competitive contact with the infected. The infected person deliberately tries with all his might to reverse the trend set for the glamour world over the years: ‘to progress from the small screen to the big screen in pursue of greater stardom’!

The first person to be hit by the deadly disease was Mr. Amitabh Bachchan in the year 2000. He succumbed to the trend reversal disease by hosting the popular game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati!

The fever subsided after a year, and just when everyone though that the virus has left without causing much damage to the star and his fans, the television screens across India began screaming the commencement of Kaun Banega Crorepati Dwitiye in 2005!

Again he took about a year to recover. But during this time he made one mistake. He came in ‘competitive contact’ with King Khan as Shahrukh Khan was shooting for the remake of his movie Don! And the poor star caught the disease!

Thereafter, it was Mr. Shahrukh who started flashing his dimpled smile and hugging everyone who entered the one metre circumference around him in Kaun Banega Crorepati!

Thankfully, with the help of a huge chunk of disappointed viewers, his fever subsided. But the virus never left his body. And today he is again all over the small screen with Kya Aap Paanchvi Pas Se Tez Hai!.

Not just him, but now even our handsome hunk, Salman Khan has caught the virus, through the famous Khan v/s Khan competitive syndrome ! He has decided to go on air with his TV game show, Dus Ka Dum!

And now, the stiff competition between Salman Khan and Akshaye Kumar that was quite visible onscreen in movies like Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and Jaan-e-man is making our poor Akki suffer! He too is down with this fever and is now all set to bang the small screen with the Indian version of Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi !

Memsaab wonders how this virus manages to convince the top-most stars of Bollywood to give up their celebrity status and become hosts in a daily game show! God save the Silver Screen!
