Pictures of Aishwarya and descriptions of her dresses at Cannes make it to the front pages of most newspapers every day. As usual, her dresses get more flak than appreciation from most quarters. Can’t blame her for that, Right? After all, it is the designers who are probably not doing their job to perfection.
But interestingly, some of Ash’s dresses seem to be ill-fitting and rather unflattering. We all know that Ash was never thin. But she did lose a lot of flab while shooting for Dhoom-II. Now it is quite apparent that the flab is back! Is the blissful state of matrimony responsible for this weight gain? Is she pregnant, like many reports claim? Or is she just being too lazy to work out?
Methinks that pregnancy can be safely ruled out. She’s been looking plump for so long now that it has to be a reallllly long pregnancy if it is one! In fact, it’s been two years since we saw a svelte Ash. Some people criticize her Cannes wardrobe for being unfashionable. Others say that her clothes do not suit her form. And there’s a big section of people who feel that she is bringing shame to her country by wearing such revealing clothes. While we do not entirely agree or disagree with this, it does seem odd that such clothes are worn only at international events! If you think that there’s nothing wrong with wearing revealing clothes, why not wear them to Filmfare or other events in India? Why the double standards Mrs. Bachchan? Is it a desperate attempt to be “accepted” by the Westerners? Perhaps you should start blogging like pa-in-law to give your take on this and every other issue!
In this picture, Ash is trying to wow the world with her cleavage. But she looks rather cheap in this dress which is incapable of holding her stuff. It is sad when people like wearing such classy dresses but don’t have the figure to do justice to them.

Ash
What is your problem ? Why are you all gunning Ash ?it does not matter what she is wearingas long as she is happy with it.Try to see it her way then making a big issue about your so called Bharat's reputation. If you are so worried about it then firstly you should bann all the bollywood movies with all those naked bikini shows etc. This is your Bharat's reputation, which is out on screens boldly. You make them act on screens with all those bold clothes and then critise them otherwise.Do not look for,or make any gossips to sell your media product. This makes me sick
Hi Tausheen, While I
Hi Tausheen,
While I appreciate your interest and comments, it would have been really better if you had read the article before posting your comment. Nowhere in the article did I mention anything about "Bharat" or it's reputation.
I did not even criticize the clothes for being revealing. The only criticism I wrote was for the clothes not fitting her properly. Is that such a crime?
Best Regards,
Shalini.
