Are you planning to lose weight? And are you planning to take Laxatives to do so? Well, it is a real talk in the world that laxatives are considered to be one of the alternative medicine used to get your weight in place. However, there is also a say that too much consumption of laxatives can induce body fat and create unnecessary body issues like wrinkles and low bone density.

Prescribed for constipation by medical professionals, and available over the counter, laxatives are designed to help people use the toilet. However, laxatives are considered to be a real supplement to aid weight loss too.

The ‘weight-loss’ caused by a laxative-induced bowel movement contains little actual food, fat or calories. Instead, laxatives encourage the loss of water, minerals, electrolytes and indigestible fiber and wastes from the colon and enhance body fluid to lower down the fat content in your body.

Please know that using laxatives to obtain a flat stomach is demented. Of course, if you’ve been constipated, you’re definitely going to feel more comfortable once you’ve been to the loo but weight loss by consuming laxatives is a far-fetched dream. Laxatives will not help you lose weight beyond 1 or 2lb because your body gets adjusted to the ‘extra bulk’ and resumes normal digestive functions.

Also, know that too much consumption of laxatives can also have some real serious health issues and it can make you feel dizzy and uncomfortable around in public. It will also make you dehydrated and can cause severe bowel movement disorder.

So, if you are actually planning to lose weight by consuming laxatives, just think again before doing so.
