What do you do when you have bananas rotting away on the dining table? It is easy to just throw away the ones that seem to be going bad, but it is so wasteful. Wouldn't it be so much better if you could actually put them to some use?
Well, you can! There are many ways to use ripe bananas if you learn how to bake. You can make cakes, muffins, breads, rolls and many other yummylicious things with those bananas that you were going to throw away! Let's start with easy muffins!
Easy Banana Muffins
Ingredients: 3 ripe bananas, 1 1/2 cup maida, 1 egg, 3/4 cup sugar, 1/3 cup butter, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp baking soda.
1. Begin with mashing up the bananas in a bowl, using a fork. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare the muffin tray by coating with oil or placing paper liners.
2. Sift all the dry ingredients together and put aside.
3. Combine the remaining ingredients in a bowl and stir. Slowly fold in the dry flour mix and mix till you get a smooth batter.
4. Scoop it into the moulds and bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes. If you are baking bigger muffins, increase the time by 5-10 minutes.
