At least 9 states in North India were plunged into darkness for long and dismal hours last night when the Northern grid collapsed due to overload of power. This is the first collapse of this kind in the last 10 years, and that is the power minister's excuse for it! Hopefully we will not have many more such breakdowns in the future.
