It seems that Kareena's 'Heroine' is likely to be delayed by a week to September 21 this year. This has been done since the release date of the much talked about film will then coincide with her birthday. The film has seen a lot of controversies since it was conceptualised and Madhur Bhandarkar who is the director of the movie has ensured that the movie is one of the most talked and awaited released of the year 2012. 

The movie which stars Arjun Rampal as well reportedly has some provocative scenes what with Madhur releasing a picture of the leading lady Kareena smoking a cigarette on Twitter recently. That move sparked of howls of protests from the anti-smoking lobby, but got a lot of publicity for the movie and the stars. Before that the movie got a lot of hype because the earlier selected leading lady Aishwarya Rai was dropped like a hot potato when Madhur got to know that she was pregnant. Ash did allot bulk dates, but Madhur did not relent saying that her pregnancy would affect the fate of the movie

Madhur has continued to make contemporary and relevant movies and does a lot of research before the movie goes on the floors. His earlier movies such as Chandni Bar, Fashion have earned him rave reviews. 'Heroine' is likely to repeat history it seems!
