Amrita Won’t Face The Truth!By Shalini First Posted: Jul 22, 2009 Wed 5:51 PM Updated: Jul 22, 2009 Wed 5:59 PM
Amrita Singh, the Bollywood actress of yesteryears and ex wife of Saif Ali Khan, was recently invited to appear on a reality show. Before you start picturing Amrita singing, dancing or performing adventure tasks, let us clarify that she was asked to do none of these things. Amrita Singh was invited by Star Plus to be a contestant on their new and “already a hit” show Sach Ka Saamna.
Imagine Rajeev Khandelwal grilling Amrita about her marriage and relationship with Saif, with his parents, the break up, Kareena…etc etc! It would have made for one spicy episode, Right? But not even the possibility of winning a crore could get Amrita to say “Yes” to the show. Once again, Amrita has won our hearts and respect, for staying out of mud slinging and public post-mortem of her personal life.
On the other hand, after an ordinary woman, a senior actor and a cricketer, it is the turn of Indian Television’s most loved vamp to appear on the hot seat. Urvashi Dholakia aka “Komolika” appeared to face the truth with Rajeev Khandelwal yesterday. Since the time was up before she could face the third question, Urvashi will appear again today. You can expect to find out a lot of interesting things about this young woman who chooses to live life on her own terms. From her teenage pregnancy to an affair with a married man, Urvashi will reveal all today! She will relive her life with Rajeev as he takes her down the memory lane, walking past painful and embarrassing incidents of her life.
Rajeev Khandelwal, host of Sach Ka Saamna quips, “Sach Ka Saamna is the world's simplest yet the most difficult game show as one has to speak nothing but the truth to survive through each level. I have been a part of the emotional journey and understand the sentiments that each contestants go through. I applaud all of them who have had the courage to accept the truth in the presence of their family. It’s an honor for me to be a part of such a unique show on Star Plus.”
